Chief Growth Officer
Roland Austrup serves as Chief Growth Officer at Innventure (NASDAQ: INV), bringing over 35 years of financial markets expertise to systematic technology commercialization. His career spans commodity brokerage at Scotia McLeod Inc. (1988), investment advisory at BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., to co-founding WaveFront Global Asset Management Corp. in 2003, where he continues as Chairman of the $1.7 billion AUM hedge fund focused on quantitative equity, futures and multi-alternative strategies.
Roland joined Innventure to help navigate PureCycle Technology Solutions' SPAC transaction, which raised $600 million at a $1.2 billion valuation in 2021. He subsequently joined Innventure as Chief Financial Officer, and progressed to Head of Capital Markets and Executive Committee Member in 2023, and was appointed Chief Growth Officer in June 2024. He then helped lead Innventure's own NASDAQ listing in October 2024.
Roland architected Innventure's transformation from a project-based developer into a publicly traded industrial operating conglomerate that systematically commercializes breakthrough technology solutions sourced from multinational corporations. His strategic repositioning shifted the business model from traditional venture capital dilution to a consolidated structure that funds companies from the parent balance sheet. This approach has created four companies with approximately $160 million in capital, generating $466 million in realized returns while maintaining substantial ongoing value.
Roland also co-founded Envest Corp., a downstream energy company, and serves on the Advisory Boards of the University of Waterloo's Master of Quantitative Finance program and First Tracks Capital. He divides his time between Toronto and Florida, where Innventure maintains its Orlando headquarters.
